Recall of books
- All books are subject to recall if another borrower or the Reserve Desk supervisor requests the book. If a book has been recalled, it must be returned no later than the date printed on the recall notice. The date on the recall notice supersedes the original due date. You will be charged $.25 per day for unreturned, recalled items.

In accordance with Nevada Revised Statutes, information regarding the current borrower of a book will not be disclosed.
Overdue and lost items
- All books are due as marked. For each overdue book, one overdue notice will be mailed. The second notice will be a bill for the replacement cost of the book plus a $10.00 processing fee and a $5.00 billing fee.
- Your borrowing privileges are suspended when you have accrued charges of $5.00 or more.
Faculty study rooms
- A University of Nevada, Reno faculty member may apply to the Dean of Libraries at the beginning of each semester to use a private study room in Getchell Library. All library books kept in a study room must be checked out.
