- Reserve a group study room in Getchell Library, Lower Level 2
- The Patricia L. Chase Quiet Study Area on Lower Level 2 is the only designated quiet area in Getchell Library. The main floor of Getchell tends to be noisy because of busy service desks and the group study area. Book stacks on the Lower Levels and the study area on the Upper Level are relatively quiet.
- Barista's Coffee Cart is available near the front doors of Getchell Library. Enjoy your latté and snack in the library, but not next to a computer!

WolfCard = Library Card
- Your WolfCard is your library card! The 14-digit barcode on the back of your WolfCard is your library account number, used when you check out library materials and print or media course reserves. Your NetID is required for off-campus access to journal article indexes, electronic journals, electronic reserves, and other resources licensed by the UNR Libraries. More information about checking out books.

- Return library books at any UNR Library, or at outside bookdrops
in back of Getchell Library and in front of the Life & Health Sciences
Library (Fleischmann Agriculture Building). You are responsible for
all materials checked out until they reach the library from which you
checked them out.
The Library Catalog
- Search the Library Catalog for books, journal titles, government publications, videos, and music CDs.
- Search Tips:
- A subject search is the default search option on the Library Catalog main menu. It's a keyword search of subject-related information in the catalog record, including title, author, subject headings, and content notes. If you need more search options, try the Advanced Subject Search, which makes it easy to combine terms with OR, AND, and AND NOT (boolean operators).
- A Title search looks for an exact match to your search term, starting with the first word in the title, unless the first word is an article (a, an, the, la, los, and so on).
- A Journal and Newspaper Title search will find catalog records for print titles owned by the library and most electronic titles licensed for UNR users. The library catalog does not list journal articles. See also Research Resources.
- View your library record or renew items you have checked out
- Access Course Reserves. More information. Off-campus access
- To place a "hold"
on a book that is checked out, click the Request button at the
top of the screen on the book's library catalog record.
Off-campus access to Library resources
- You may use your NetID or library barcode for off-campus access to journal article indexes, electronic journals, electronic reserves, and other resources licensed by the UNR Libraries. If you have a student ID card, your library "card" is a 14-digit barcode attached to the front of your student ID.
